This polished Flower Agate Point reveals a dreamlike landscape of blush pink chalcedony, generously infused with wispy, floral-like inclusions that appear to bloom within the stone. Formation & Geology
Flower Agate is a distinct type of agate—a form of chalcedony—that crystallizes within volcanic cavities when silica-rich fluids fill empty spaces in cooling lava. Over tremendous spans of time, these fluids crystallize in layered patterns, capturing plume-like inclusions (typically iron and manganese oxides) that mimic petals or blossoms suspended in the stone.
Where It’s Found
This variety was first identified in Madagascar around 2018, and it remains primarily sourced from that region today.
