Realgar, Nevada
This vivid red realgar specimen from the Donald Wininger Collection retains only a broad Nevada attribution. Its mine is unknown, but the incomplete label opens a larger story about arsenic-rich mineral systems, invisible gold, changing crystals and the importance of preserving uncertainty in an old collection.
